How do I know if this is right for me?FeelingLost

  • Are you plagued by irrational negative self-thoughts such as: I am not good enough, I am insignificant, I should have known better, I am dirty, I am not safe, I have to be perfect, and more?
  • Are you experiencing grief or loss?
  • Do you have anxiety symptoms or panic attacks?
  • Do you experience performance anxiety or want performance enhancement?
  • Do you have low self-esteem?
  • Do you have memories from your past that still disturb you today? Would you like to be free from them?
  • Have you experienced trauma from childhood abuse (physical, emotional, sexual), bullying, rape, assaults, accidents, medical treatments, or war?
  • Have you experienced a long-term emotionally stressful relationship in childhood or adulthood, resulting in what is called complex PTSD?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above question, EMDR may be for you.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) was originally developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980’s for trauma. It uses bilateral eye movements to release your emotional and physiological distress from disturbing life experiences. Julie follows an eight step EMDR protocol to bring you relief from disturbing memories, negative self-thoughts and physiological arousal. Once your memory has lost its charge and is no longer disturbing, Julie facilitates replacing your negative self-thought with a positive thought you would rather believe. You are conscious the entire time. It’s like having one foot in the past and one in the present. Clients report feeling lighter, free, ready to move on with their lives, unstuck, relieved, and happier.

What is Flash Technique?

Flash technique was developed by Phillip Mansfield, a leader in the EMDR field, in 2017. It is an additional technique originally designed for use with clients when the trauma is so intense, the client can’t even think or envision the trauma to do EMDR on it.

Are you ready to get unstuck? Are you ready to let go of the past? Are you ready to live the life you want?
